Ed and Jinny Fleischman have been entertaining together for more than 35 years. During these years they have developed their own style of entertaining that focuses on making the meal pleasurable and relaxing for their guests as well as themselves.

Ed is well known for his love of grilling. He is skillful in "engineering" platters that showcase his food. Ed will demonstrate grilling techniques, and focus on carving and selecting beverages for each meal. He has honed his skills by training at the Cordon Bleu and Ritz in Paris.

Jinny loves to entertain friends and family alike. Her cooking education is broad and includes classes with Julia Child, Madeleine Kamman, Jean-Louis Palladin, Mt. Vernon College, the Cordon Bleu and Ritz in Paris as well as a program for cooking teachers at Tante Marie's Cooking School in San Francisco.

Jinny and Ed attended a Tasting Places program in Sicily to increase their knowledge of Southern Italian cooking during the summer of 1999. Other travels have expanded their repertoire of world cuisines and wines to Hong Kong, Mexico, Australia, Chile, Argentina and the Italian Piedmont, many parts of France, Morocco, Spain and Portugal. In 2006 they took an intensive Mexican cooking class in Puebla, Mexico and in 2010 a series of classes in Viet Nam and Cambodia. This spring they will be visiting Peru and Bolivia.

Company's Coming was the subject of Daily Candy on March 19, 2006, in 2008 and again on February 21, 2010. Company's Coming was featured in Washington Post Food Section on October 6, 1999. In addition, an article by Jinny, "A Party in the Freezer" appeared in the December 12, 2002 Washington Post Food Section. The February 2002 issue of Harper's Bazaar cited Company's Coming as one of the best cooking schools in the country. Jinny was interviewed for a Food section feature on August 20, 2000 and September 7, 2005. Company's Coming was featured in the March 20, 2006 issue of the Common Denominator. In 2007 Company's Coming was highlighted in an April, 2007 article in the US Airways Magazine, the March 1 edition of Washington Post Express and the June, 2007 Washingtonian article on wedding planning. In 2008 Company's Coming was highlighted in the Spring issue of Washington Home & Gardens.

In addition to their cooking classes, the Fleischmans lead groups on travel tours focusing on culture, food and wine. Past trips have included the south of France, Italy, Spain and Portugal.

The Fleischmans are members of Slow Food and the American Institute of Wine and Food. Jinny is also a member of Women Chefs and Restaurateurs.
